  11. Greetings... I own a Boca 14.4k baud v.32bis v.42bis fax modem. My
  12. problem is simple... It hates to connect with compression and
  13. correction. Normally , if I get a good connection with comp and corr
  14. it says:

  16. Connect: 14400
  17.  
  18. Protocol: Lap-M
  19.  
  20. Compression: v.42bis
  21.  
  22. Connect: 19200
  23.  
  24.  
  25. But when it doesnt' connect right I get everything from Connect 14400,
  26. Protocol: None, Connect 19200 and a bunch of garbage on my screeen to
  27. Connect 14400 , Protocol: Lap-M, Compression: None, Connect 19200 and
  28. garbage on my screen, and a rare wierd one that is Connect 14400,
  29. Protocol: Alt , Compression: None, Connect: 19200 , which is useable
  30. IE no garbage on my screen and I can actually login.. This happens on
  31. ANY bbs or dial up service I call. Any help would be apperciated, I
  32. have tryed many other things , even asked the GTE if they could test
  33. my phone lines for data readyness (IE they are clean and not full of
  34. noise) but the only thing they did was hang up on me... (Gods I wish I
  35. could go Pacbell... ) . Thank you for your time...
